Post Hurricane Michael Task Force: The task force will be working to develop a plan to provide financial support to the neediest families in the Panhandle. Please encourage your units to continue to provide information to their members about the need to assist. We are requesting that units WAIT until a comprehensive plan is developed to provide assistance. Please contact the Chair Lewis Jennings at 850-862-8721 for additional questions. Also, please review and share the emails on the letter to the Red Cross and the proposed utility rate hike.
ECJ Call: Sunday, February 17, 2019 @ 7PM is a scheduled conference call for the Executive Committee to present each unit’s ECJ Chair. Mandatory Training: Region V Director, Kevin Myles, has agreed to provide Mandatory Training at the Spring Quarterly Meeting on March 16, 2019 from 10:30am to 3:15pm excluding lunch. Please notify your units about mandatory training for all officers and at-large members. Branches, Youth Councils and College Chapters are expected to participate in mandatory training. Membership: Please encourage units to be ready to laydown membership at the Spring Quarterly Meeting. Membership reports are due monthly. Please share the comprehensive report on membership and encourage units to increase membership by 35% this year, as indicated by the National Office. Education: Please encourage units to visit the RealTalk Coalition to learn more about the coalition the Florida State Conference led efforts to organize on Education Equity and Parent Advocacy.
